The family company Keune Haircosmetics was founded in 1922 by a pharmacist from Amsterdam named Jan Keune. In the past, hair was curled especially with iron curling irons over a flame, which was not kind to the hair, but also dangerous. Fascinated by curls, Jan began experimenting in his first laboratory and eventually discovered the very first formula for permanent hair styling – perm. Scientific research and subsequent innovation have always served as the foundation of Keune’s success. In 2023, we became the exclusive distributor of this brand.
